There must be a contingent of horror-movie fans who love to cross-stitch and sew. If so, there’s a perfect gift available from Thunder Bay Press, thanks to authors Kristy Kizzee and Erika Kern.

The title of Zombie Cross-stitch essentially says it all. The package includes a book with full-color photos and patterns for 12 original projects. Two of these projects also come with all of the materials needed to bring them (back) to life. There’s specialty fabric, an embroidery loop, needles and 10 colors of embroidery floss.

Some of the designs are fun, like the walking dead with his arms outstretched and the accompanying saying “Work Bites.” Another one is a marriage ceremony with the saying “Til Death Do Its Part.” The designs with only words — “Zombies Only Want You for Your Brains” — are less creative, but kudos for the Michael Jackson “Thriller” stitch.

Thunder Bay Press has crafted either a perfect gift for cross-stitch fans who love things that go bump in the night, or a silly gift that would make a perfect white elephant or trivia game prize.
