Hudson Horror Show only a few days away

Horror fans in the New York tri-state area should plan on heading to Poughkeepsie, N.Y., on Saturday, May 19. For 12 straight hours, the Hudson Horror Show will look to delight audiences with screams, laughs and fond memories of past classics.

On the bill for the half-day marathon are screenings of the Hammer classic, The Legend of the 7 Vampires, plus the ultra rare revenge flick, Massacre Mafia Style. The three headliners are horror goldmines: George A. Romero’s Day of the Dead, Phantasm and Friday the 13th: Uncut.

All screenings are in gloriously imperfect 35mm. Advance tickets, priced at $26, can be purchased here. If tickets remain, they will be available at the door for $30 (cash only). Selling out is a strong likelihood.

Doors open at 12 p.m. for advance ticket holders. After some trailers and marathon rules, things get started around 1:30 p.m. with 7 Vampires. Throughout the day there will be trivia contests, giveaways and vendors in the hallways of Silver Cinemas at the South Hills Mall, 1895 South Road in Poughkeepsie.
