Teaneck International Film Festival arrives, Nov. 11-13

The Teaneck International Film Festival is set to kick off Friday night, Nov. 11, with a special screening of Life, Love, Soul from director Noel Calloway. The 108-minute feature is the hallmark event of the three-day festival, which will take place in several venues around Teaneck, N.J.

Opening night begins with a 7:30 p.m. red carpet event at Teaneck High School, followed by a screening of the film, starring Jamie Hector, Chad Coleman, Egypt, Terri Vaughn and Tami Roman. Telling the tale of a 17-year-old whose Brooklyn family is turned upside down by a horrific car accident, the movie will make its New Jersey premiere at the film festival.

Other highlights throughout the weekend, include screenings of Kareem Mortimer’s Children of God, Stanley Kubrick’s Paths of Glory, Kim A. Snyder’s Welcome to Shelbyville and Lionel Rogosin’s On the Bowery. A special event will be a showing of Ahead of Time, a documentary about famed journalist Ruth Gruber.

A weekend pass costs $30, while individual films cost $5 in advance or $7 at the door. Opening night is $10. Click here for more information on tickets.
