UPDATE: New York Comic Con keeps adding new celebrities

For all those fanboys and fangirls who turn positively gleeful when the New York Comic Con comes to Manhattan’s West Side, get ready for some big announcements in the coming days. The annual event, which this year has been expanded to four days, will run at the Jacob Javits Center from Oct. 13-16. Tens of thousands, if not more, are expected to descend upon the comic event, so plan ahead.

Hollywood Soapbox will report from the floor of the convention all four days. Stay tuned for updates.

Here’s a preview of the entertainment guests scheduled to greet fans:

• Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, aka Jay and Silent Bob

• Jason Momoa, Rose McGowan and Stephen Lang of the recent remake, Conan the Barbarian

• Mr. Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill

• Legendary film director John Landis

• Judah Friedlander of 30 Rock

• Eddie McClintock of Warehouse 13

• James Marsters of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Caprica

• Hercules himself, Kevin Sorbo

• Lou “Incredible Hulk” Ferrigno

• Peter Mayhew, aka Chewbacca

• Nicki Clyne from the new Battlestar Galactica and Herbert Jefferson Jr. from the old Battlestar Galactica
