YOUR GUIDE: ‘The Last Unicorn’ tour continues in NYC

Hollywood Soapbox logoThe Last Unicorn, the influential animated film from 1982, is hitting movie theaters again. But this time around, there are some added bonuses. As part of a multi-year celebration of the classic movie, the original writer behind novel and movie, Peter S. Beagle, will attend all screenings to sign autographs and meet fans. The Last Unicorn merchandise will be on sale, and a few surprises are likely in order.

Upcoming screenings include Sept. 28 and 30 in New York City, plus Sept. 29 at the new Alamo Drafthouse in Yonkers, N.Y. More dates will be announced in the coming weeks. Future states include Oregon, Washington, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The Alamo Drafthouse screening encourages costumes, and it appears books of the original novel will be on sale. Check out the movie that features the voice talents of Mia Farrow, Jeff Bridges and Alan Arkin.
