It’s a small venue not too far from the picturesque banks of the Hudson River, but it certainly knows how to book impressive concert acts. The Turning Point, set up at 468 Piermont Ave. in Piermont, N.Y., offers an intimate setting to catch some of the most respected names in rock, blues, jazz and world music. Over the coming weeks, the “little-venue-that-could” will play host to several top acts.

The Sarah Borges Band will stop by Saturday, March 2 for a 9 p.m. show. Tickets are $20. The next day, on March 3, the Marc Berger Band will play at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15.

If you wanted to see the Marcia Ball Band on March 4, you’re out of luck. The concert is sold out. Don’t fret. There’s plenty of other options, including the Debbie Davies Blues Band on March 16 ($22.50). Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Playboys will offer a concert March 21 for $20. The show will offer fans in the Northeast a rare chance to hear genuine New Orleans zydeco.

On the horizon, The The Band Band will play a two-night gig on March 29-30. The cost is $30 each night.

Southside Johnny will stop by not with the Asbury Jukes, but his new acoustic band the Poor Fools. Tickets for the April 12 show are $65 each. Jimmy Vivino stops by April 26.

May 4 will see two legends on stage. At 7 p.m., for $40, David Johansen, lead singer of the New York Dolls, will offer an intimate concert. At 10 p.m., for $20, the Alexis P. Suter Band will return to the Turning Point for another gig.
