Creation Entertainment’s Star Trek convention planners are gearing up for some fun-filled weekends across the United States this year. From Cherry Hill, N.J., to Nashville, Tenn., fans will beam up to the events for autographs, photo ops and rare collectibles.

Headlining this weekend’s convention in New Jersey is Patrick Stewart of Star Trek: The Next Generation. Joining him will be fellow Next Gen colleagues LeVar Burton, Brent Spiner and Jonathan Frakes. Rounding out the celebrity guests are Suzie Plakson,  Tim Russ, Hallie Todd, Gary Graham, Robin Curtis, Eric Menyuk and Chase Masterson. Russ will provide musical entertainment on Saturday night, with Graham serving as the opening act.

Tickets are still available at the door, including some sweet gold packages, which include autographs, a cocktail party and a pass to Russ’s concert. For more information, click here. Please note: Not every actor appears every day. Make sure you purchase tickets for the correct day.

Creation also rolls into Nashville, Tenn., on June 9 and 10 to continue its 25th anniversary of The Next Generation. Celebrities includes Stewart, Frakes, Burton and Masterson. Plus two names from Star Trek: The Original Series: George Takei and Nichelle Nichols. Click here for more information.

Star Trek cons will also be held in Las Vegas (Aug. 9-12) and San Francisco (Nov. 16-18). If you’re planning to attend the Vegas convention, plan early. Tickets are flying out the door, and this is always the largest Trekker gathering of the year. August’s convention will once again take place at the Rio All-Suites Hotel, located just off the Strip.

If you can’t make these events, try the Philadelphia Comic Con on May 31 and June 1-3 (run by Wizard World). In addition to the many movie celebrities and comic book artists will be four captains: Kate Mulgrew, Avery Brooks, William Shatner and Scott Bakula. So, that’s right, if you live in the Philadelphia area, you have the chance of catching all five Star Trek captains in the next month. Stewart appears this weekend in Cherry Hill, N.J., followed by the four others across the river in June.

It’s good to be a Trekker in 2012.
