Tickets are going quick for the mega Stargate convention at the Westin O’Hare in Rosemont, Ill., on Aug. 16-18. No matter your favorite TV iteration (SG-1, Atlantis or Universe), the Windy City is the place to be for this legendary sci-fi series.

The celebrities attending include Amanda Tapping, Joe Flanigan and Ben Browder, among several others. The top-of-the-line gold tickets are sold out, but preferred weekend passes ($259) are still available. The preferred option includes reserved seating in the main auditorium, autographs from several celebrities, admission to a cabaret performance and entry to the karaoke party. Single-day, general-admission tickets are as low as $20.

Autographs run from $20 (most of the actors) to $70 (Browder). Photo ops run from $40 (most of the actors) to $75 (Tapping). There are several group photo ops available as well.

Expect a costume parade, centerpiece contest and live auction — all staples of Creation Entertainment, producers of the three-day event.
